The Genesee Valley Hunt Point-to-Point Race

The GVH Point to Point was first run in 1885 and has developed into the oldest continuously run Point-to-Point, and has remained an old fashioned, go-as-you-please cross country steeplechase for 119 years. Currently, entries are limited to subscribers of the GVH over the age of 16. The race is usually between 4 and 6 miles over hunting terrain. The competitors are informed of the start location at noon on the day of the race, but they are only informed of the check points, if any, and the location of the finish at the start.
